Acoustics Requirements
Entryways often weaken glass wall systems because they create a gap. If a doorway isn’t the right size or installers don’t install it correctly, this reduces the system’s acoustic performance. All of our installation teams are well-versed in installing our systems with different doors. Additionally, whenever acoustics are a priority, we recommend incorporating our Serene Door with our HUSH or ENDURE systems because it is designed with STC in mind. It’s double-glazed and utilizes an integrated drop seal.
Space Restrictions
Regarding space restrictions, swing doors are easy to use and one can outfit them with a wide range of additional hardware. While they tend to be less expensive, the price can quickly increase depending on hardware selection. Meanwhile, sliding doors can greatly increase functionality and are ideal for optimizing floorspace.

Used both in office settings. Must caution you with sliding doors and chair accessibility. I can appreciate the sliding door potentially allowing for wider access, but the door track found on the floor (threshold), can be problematic for the wheels of a chair. Interior office swing doors typically do not have a threshold
Tracks should be recessed so they do not get in the way. The sliding door is far more efficient. Given that office space is at a premium and offices are getting smaller, this can be an important space saving feature.
I found it interesting when you said that sliding doors give a professional look to your office. My boss told me that he would like to have more privacy in his cubicle but at the same time, he wants to be able to check on us. I will suggest to him to install sliding glass doors so that he can have what he wants.
